Evan Bayh is not feeling the love in the blogosphere. His latest is apparently a threat to kill a bill if it allows bankruptcy judges to cram down mortgages. This despite Indiana’s leading position in foreclosure rates. Speculation is that this has to do with Bayh’s cozy relationship with the banking industry.

A few years ago I found the obituary of one of my great-great-grandfathers in the Shelbyville, Indiana, newspaper. It concluded with the information: “…and he was a life-long Democrat.”
Recently I’ve been wearing a “Yellow Dog Democrat” political button.
That’s how I feel about our Hoosier Senator Evan Bayh.
If Bayh had one tenth as much talent as he has ambition we’d have one hell of a senator.

At this point I’d settle for him trying to create a record–no matter about what–that matched a tenth of his ambition. What, exactly, does the man do besides pose?
