Gov. appoints P. Thomas Snow as Alcohol & Tobacco Commission Chairman

by Doug on February 10, 2009

The Richmond Palladium-Item is reporting that Judge Thomas Snow, currently in Wayne Superior Court 1, will be appointed chair of the Alcohol & Tobacco Commission. Normally this wouldn’t mean much, but Judge Snow is the father of one of my sister’s best friends growing up. So, from that perspective, it’s a good appointment. And, by all accounts, Judge Snow is “the kind of person who makes any institution he joins a great deal better, and that which he leaves, saddened.”

Yeah if Paula is any indication of the kind of father he is-and he brings that to the job-that commission has a top-notch guy.

Funny story about Paula, at the start of freshman year at IU, the guy across the hall from me came back to the dorms smashed from a frat party. He started talking about this great girl he had met-and I started putting two and two together realizing he must be talking about Paula Snow. I pull out my wallet and show him her senior picture. He says, “Dude, how did you get her picture? I didn’t see you at the party, she talked to me all night, and I didn’t even get her number!”

Classic!

That is a great story!! Did you ever tell Paula? If you didn’t you should. She would love to hear it.

Oh yeah, I told her! We ended up having some classes together at IU; which was another funny story.

In French class, we went into the final 1 point away from each other in grade. The AI sat us down and asked us point blank if we were cheating. When we told her we were from the same HS and had the same teachers throughout our three years; she chalked it up to us having good teachers at RHS. Whew!
