Colorado has a proposition up to amend its state constitution to state, “The term ‘Person’ or ‘Persons’ shall include any human from the time of fertilization.” Why not? If “person” includes non-human corporations, why not blastocysts as well. Next up: defining “human.”
Miscarriage is murder!
And what about those fertilized ova that don’t implant? By this definition, they’re people, too. Just like you and me walking down the street. They’re just like homeless people, lacking a safe place to sleep tonight. Except they’re armless, legless, heartless, brainless, and only visible with a microscope.
Glad I wasn’t drinking anything when I read that, because it would’ve come out my nose.
My question is – will we have to collect all our menstruation and start turning it in to be searched for non-implanted fertilized eggs?
Let me interrupt the serious discussion of philosophical and moral issues to say:
Amy – eeewww!
We now resume our informed commentary.
Would they call that process “Search and Rescue?”
Catch and Release?
I was going to have a snack while I was on the computer-and maybe a drink.
I think I won’t be having any Bloody Mary’s!
Is Tom Tancredi behind this?
I suppose menstrual extraction would be reclassified as murder?
